Stand up, Duck, & Eat

Nadia wants to stand all the time. She has really begun to pull herself up on EVERYTHING. She has been pulling herself up before but now it's all the time and uses whatever she can get her hands on (and sometimes it's not stable enough). She has started to walk along furniture too. She really has shown a lot of interest in walking and I think she is now determined to do it soon...oh fun! The other day, her friend in daycare tried to get her to walk, by pulling on her shirt....it didn't work. In fact, they had to move the other girl to the other room so she would leave Nadia alone and so Nadia would not get mad at her and push her down. Who knew, peer pressure in daycare!
In this top picture, you can see her new toy (the duck) Ming-Ming from Wonder pets. On black Friday we went shopping. We were walking through the toy aisle looking at things and playing with the different toys. My mom had just gotten done saying to me that it is not a smart idea to show her toys in the store because before to long she'll throw a fit when they go back on the shelf. Well, silly me I thought it would be a while before that happened so we kept playing. Everything was great until we saw this duck. She loved this duck and danced, smiled, and hugged the duck. Well, when we went to put it back on the shelf the BIG alligator tears came and lasted through the store. We left the store without the duck, however we told Grammy Brown about the duck and so she got it for her birthday and gave it to her. Needless to say, she STILL REALLY LOVES THIS DUCK.
Nadia started giving us fits about eating baby food, so she's been eating more and more table food, plus feeding herself. Anytime we eat anything, she thinks she needs a bite. She tries everything and hasn't really found anything she doesn't like. My mom has said that I was the same way when I was a baby not picky at all.

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went with some friends to Corning, NY where they have the parade of lights. Corning shuts down some streets and has a parade with all the floats covered in lights. The town is also decorated with lots of lights. Nadia really enjoyed watching everything, but her favorite thing of the whole night was the bag pipe band!
Oh my goodness, where has the time gone, in less than 3 weeks Chris and I will have a 1 year old. It's hard to believe that she has been with us for close to a year, and how much our lives have changed in this year.
